Why is Pilot CMS licenced? Why can't I just buy it outright?

In order to keep the system secure, efficient and up-to-date with the latest developments in web design we decided that it was best to sell our system on an annual licence basis.

This way we can continue to develop, enhance and extend the Pilot CMS system to the benefit of all of our clients.

What support is available if I get stuck?

Apart from the online support built into the administration system, and the helpful "Quick Start" guide you can also contact your reseller directly either by email or telephone (within normal UK office hours) for support for as long as you have your site with them.

Additionally, if you have many staff who all need to be able to maintain areas of the website full or half-day training sessions at your offices can be organised - please contact your reseller for more information.

What about hosting and backup?

All pilot sites are hosted on a dedicated server with 99.9% uptime service level agreement. The server is backed up each night, so if the worst happens we can restore the latest backup copies from our server.

There is a feature my site needs that isn't listed - can you help?

Of course! The modular nature of the Pilot CMS design means that the system can be extended on a user-by-user or site-by-site basis - just speak to your reseller about your requirements.

Do I need to have a particular specification of computer or type of software for Pilot CMS to work?

As long as you have a computer with an internet connection, you will be able to use Pilot CMS. There is no software to install, you just use a standard internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome or Opera. This means you will be able to update your site almost anywhere, in the office, at home, in an internet cafe or even on holiday if you like!

I've already got a site design I really like - can that be used?

Almost certainly - we've had a great deal of success in taking existing site designs, modifying them to suit the Pilot templating system and then adding them to a Pilot controlled website.

How can I find out more?

If you'd like to see the Pilot CMS system in action before commiting, just request a demo account. A username and password will be provided which will enable you to access any of the Pilot CMS versions so you can have a look around the system at your own pace.

We have  more than one website, can we maintain them all from one place?

Certainly, the Pilot system allows you to have multiple websites in a single user account - just login and the system will ask you to pick which site you'd like to maintain.

I'm interested in becoming a Pilot CMS reseller, is that possible?

We are always on the lookout for quality resellers. Please get in touch and we'll send you our reseller information pack.
